What is Medium Term Accommodation?
Medium Term Accommodation is an NDIS-funded temporary housing support assistance offered to NDIS participants. Under this facility, NDIS participants who do not have anywhere to go can stay at such facilities temporarily.
As per NDIS guidelines, a participant can avail accommodation of up to 90 days. It’s important to note that under MTA, NDIS pays only for the accommodation & not for utilities & meals.

What are the criteria for availing of Medium Term Accommodation?

- Their home is undergoing renovation
- They are yet to buy their own home & get Supported Independent Living
- They are awaiting their disability assistance after being discharged from a hospital or rehab facility

FAQs
How long can I stay at your NDIS MTA facility?
As per NDIS guidelines, you can stay for up to 90 days or 3 months at our NDIS MTA facility. NDIS will pay for your stay during this period.
I do not have MTA support in my NDIS plan; what should I do?
To avail of the NDIS facility, you should add MTA support to your plan. To do so, you will have to submit reports that show you need accommodation temporarily; your accommodation request must be related to your disability & information about your support needs. Based on this, the official will review & add MTA support to your plan.
Can I extend my MTA accommodation after 90 days?
NDIS might accept your request for an extension if you have a valid reason. But to avail of this extension, you will have to submit necessary reports & evidence to back your claim.
