What is Short Term Accommodation?
Short-term Accommodation is a chance for an NDIS participant to enjoy a different environment, meet new people & learn different skills by staying out of home for a short period. NDIS funds this Short-Term Accommodation for all the participants who meet their criteria.
The core goal of STA is to offer respite or a break to the caregiver or the family of NDIS participants. Additionally, the participant gets a chance to enjoy a break from their routine & have a relaxing time.

FAQs
For how many days can I take NDIS funded STA?
The maximum time limit for NDIS funded STA is 28 days. Participants can take breaks & get paid for them any time of the year. The only condition is a single break cannot exceed 14 days.
Can all NDIS participants avail STA at Care Fast?
To avail STA at Care Fast, you need NDIS Funding for Short Term Accommodation & Assistance. You can also stay with us if you have NDIS funding for Social & Community Participation.
Can I extend my STA stay at Care Fast?
You can stay at our STA facilities for 14 days in a single shot as per NDIS regulations. For more details, feel free to visit the NDIS website.
